Can take me again to viewing Saturday Morning Cartoons, except now I get to Enjoy it! No better complement I may give than that!  It's all of the bits and parts you'd assume from a superb metroidvania, like polished motion, impactful updates, and creative boss fights, but for me the better part is the game's appeal, for not enough a greater word.
